Katie Holmes Out In NYC
Katie Holmes Out In NYC
It looks like Katie Holmes needed a change of scenery. She’s been spending tons of time in Western Europe, where her husband Tom Cruise has been filming “Valkyrie.” But yesterday the Dawson’s Creek cutie was in the Big Apple.
Katie wore a completely black ensemble, topped off by a trench coat and large purse. Her big “movie star” sunglasses hid the eyes of the marathon runner.
That’s right, the “Teaching Mrs. Tingle” actress is in preparations to take on the New York City Marathon. She’s been training for months, and is rumored to be planning on participating this November 4th.
Why so soon? Well, it’s been rumored that Katie is expecting another child. And if that’s the case, she won’t be in “game shape” this time next year.
Of course, Holmes is denying the rumors. Her spokesperson told press, “She is not pregnant.” But you never know. Katie has been open about her desire to have another child. A source told press, “Katie told me she wants another child with (Tom). She talks about it a lot. But I do not know when exactly they plan to have another baby.”
Katie Holmes: Arms of Steel

While she may have gotten her start in showbusiness as the frumpy tomboy “Joey” on Dawson’s Creek, Katie Holmes has blossomed into a marathon-running stunner, as evidenced by her look at the Critic’s Choice Awards.
An eyewitness at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium reported, “Katie’s arms looked like they were made of steel. There was no fat whatsoever. She’s certainly giving Madonna a run for her money in the muscles department.”
And though the “Teaching Mrs. Tingle” actress was making motherhood her main focus, she’s returning to the big screen with the new film “Mad Money” alongside Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton.
With Hollywood super-hunk Tom Cruise and Tinseltown’s cutest toddler Suri by her side, Katie Holmes is proof of what a difference a decade can make.

She was a hit on the small screen with Dawson’s Creek, and her latest big-screen film “Mad Money” did pretty well for itself. And now Katie Holmes is poised to conquer the stage.
That’s right, Mrs. Tom Cruise has confirmed that she’ll be joining John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, and Patrick Wilson in a Broadway revival of All My Sons by Arthur Miller.
And according to a source, the “Teaching Mrs. Tingle” cutie actually had stage acting in her sights long before she hit the Hollywood scene.
“Back in High School, Katie was the lead in every musical she tried out for. She had a real sense of owning the stage. Everyone knew she’d be huge someday,” said a high school acquaintance, who worked with Holmes on a production of Damn Yankees back in Catholic school.
Marisa Coughlan Biography

Blonde Marisa Coughlan started her acting career with guest appearances on television programs lending her sad-eyed innocent looks to episodes of “The Magnificent Seven”, “High Society”, “Diagnosis: Murder” (all CBS), “Weird Science” (syndicated) and “Step by Step” (ABC). She also had featured turns in “Fist of the North Star” (1996) and the telefilms “Our Son, the Matchmaker” (CBS, 1996) and “Sleepwalker Killing: From the Files of ‘Unsolved Mysteries’” (NBC, 1997). Coughlan made her television series regular debut playing a graduate student in the short-lived Kevin Williamson’s drama “Wasteland” (ABC, 1999), a “Dawson’s Creek” for the older set, chronicling the exploits of a group of twentysomethings in New York. Starring opposite already recognizable names Brad Rowe, Rebecca Gayheart and Eddie Mills, Coughlan would reach her largest audience to date on this Miramax/Williamson production.
1999 would prove to be Coughlan’s breakthrough year, starring alongside Katie Holmes in Williamson’s directorial feature “Teaching Mrs. Tingle”, a much-awaited black comedy. She cemented her “one to watch” status with a featured role in the ensemble of the college campus set psychothriller “Gossip” (2000). After appearing in a pair of poorly performing comedies in 2001 (”Freddie Got Fingered” and “Super Troopers”), Coughlan again returned to more independent-minded features when she appeared in 2002’s “Pumpkin” with Christina Ricci, Hank Harris and Dominique Swain.
