Oz: Sometimes furry, always quotable

Seth Green as Oz in Buffy the Vampire SlayerThe greatness of the Scooby Gang on Buffy the Vampire Slayer was enhanced by the addition of Oz (Daniel Osbourne) in seasons two, three, and four. Sometimes a werewolf, mostly Willow’s boyfriend, he added a new level of comedic relief to Buffy.

It wasn’t the situations he was in, nor did he take the pratfall route. Oz was dry — dry like a desert, dry like overcooked Thanksgiving turkey, dry like a leather shoe left out in the sun for several thousand years. Master of the understatement, man of few words, sarcasm blended with wit.

Arguably, Oz was the most quotable character on Buffy. For instance, when he found out vampires were real, he simply stated, “That explains a lot!” Another of my favorite Oz quotes was from season four, when Buffy was complaining about her college roommate and punching the air. Oz posits, “No one deserves mime, Buffy.”

Revisit some of Oz’s best quotable moments from each season he appears in and enjoy a giggle or two remembering the werewolf with a sense of humor.

Angelina Jolie Talks To GMA, Films Movie

Looking thinner by the day, Angelina Jolie was spotted on Monday walking to her trailer on the set of the Clint Eastwood directed film “The Changeling”.

The Girl Interrupted actress had a busy day, as earlier in the morning she had a big interview with Good Morning America, talking about everything from Beowulf to Thanksgiving.

Speaking about her upcoming release, in which she plays Grendel’s mother, Jolie told, “I liked that she was a mother who would do anything and destroy anything if somebody hurt her son. It was the maternal side of me [that connected to her], and I love that that was her motivation.”

Changing the subject, when asked about Thanksgiving in the Pitt-Jolie household, Ang said, “I’m not much of a cook, so we’ll see what happen. I try. We all chip in. But I don’t think anyone in my family wants me to handle Thanksgiving dinner.”

Pamela Anderson’s Meat-Free Turkey Giveaway

It was Thanksgiving come early for a few Las Vegas residents on Wednesday night, as Pamela Anderson turned up to help serve veggie Turkey Day dinners.

The Baywatch babe, along with some PETA pals, handed out meat-free dinners to some impoverished residents of Sin City. The group also took advantage of the opportunity to promote their vegetarian ways to the homeless.

“This time of year can be especially hard for those who find themselves homeless, and it’s murder on turkeys,” Pam said in a statement, adding, “It’s easy to have a holiday meal that gives even turkeys something to be thankful for.”

The charitable deed came in association with Family Promise, a non-profit, homeless-helping organization.

Ashley Tisdale Gets Ready For Macy’s Parade

After spending the past two nights making back-to-back red carpet appearances, Ashley Tisdale was spotted getting ready for takeoff from LAX Airport on Tuesday.

The Disney star passed through airport security with the accompaniment of her mother, Lisa, and puppy, Maui.

The latest reports tell that the High School Musical actress and her family are headed to the Big Apple, where Ashley is slated to be seen on Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

From there, Miss Tisdale looks forward to spending a relaxing Christmas at home before heading back to the set for HSM3 in February.

Ashley tells, “I’ll be home for Christmas, so I’m really excited. Last year I was on tour, so I couldn’t have Christmas at home, but this year I’ll be home and I can’t wait!”
