There was a strong show of patriotism throughout the celebrity world yesterday, and Tom Cruise led the way - carrying his two-year-old daughter Suri while taking in the Fourth of July festivities near his home in Telluride, Colorado on Friday.
Accompanied by wife Katie Holmes and son Conner, 13, the Top Gun stud wore a cowboy hat while Suri donned a headband with two American flags sticking out of it.
Throughout their family stroll, Katie, who’s currently prepping for a Broadway gig, said “Happy 4th of July” to photographers before Tom and Co. drove off in their SUV.
Cruise recently talked about how he was “amazed” by his growing daughter, telling press: “She likes to dance and sing, get her nails done with mom - really beautiful!”

Katie Holmes was spotted out and about, doing a little last minute holiday shopping at Maxfields in West Hollywood on Friday afternoon (December 21).
Wearing a blue skirt and white turtleneck combo, the Batman Begins actress toted her goodies out while flanked by a Presedential-esque security team.
Recently, the 29-year-old spoke to press about life as the wife of Tom Cruise and mother of an infant daughter, saying, “I’m really happy being a mom, being a wife.”
Continuing on, Holmes tells that she understands the curiosity over her life with her Top Gun hubby, but the life experiences trump any intrusiveness that she faces.
“I appreciate the man that I’m with and my family and my work. I feel very lucky to be able to say that. I mean, what we do in a week is extraordinary,” she says.
“I have done things I never thought I would do, like climbing mountains and flying in the P-51 (a second World War fighter),” says Holmes. “That’s what is so inspiring about being with him - constant thrills and joy.”

Spotted without her Top Gun hubby, Katie Holmes was all smiles as she left the historic luxury Hotel Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica, California on Saturday (January 12).
Katie, who’s coming off of the premiere of her new movie Mad Money, was decked out in bright purple attire - hugging a gal pal as she got into an awaiting van.
In other news on the 29-year-old actress, she and Tom Cruise are dealing with the release of an unauthorized biography by British journalist Andrew Morton.
According to the NY Daily News, “Morton paints a sordid picture of Tom, Katie and their relationship to the Church of Scientology, claiming that the actor has become the second most powerful figure in the church, and that adorable 2-year-old Suri Cruise isn’t actually his.”
The report goes on to tell: “Cruise’s people are, predictably, blasting the book as a bunch of lies. Publishing sources say the one-time Princess Diana biographer fabricated a lot of the book just to sell copies.”

Sporting a somewhat questionable coif, Katie Holmes showed up as scheduled to Good Morning America studios in New York City this morning (January 14).
In the Big Apple to promote her new movie “Mad Money,” Katie made her way to the interview solo, leaving Top Gun hubby Tom Cruise and daugther Suri to enjoy one another’s company for awhile.
Meanwhile, if you missed our earlier report, the whole Cruise clan landed in NYC last night for mom’s press duties, causing quite a commotion. Tom even pulled out the home camcorder to capture the moment - despite the fact that paparazzi videograpghers were all around him.
Nonetheless, you can catch Katie in her new movie when it hits theaters this Friday (January 18).
