New York Fashion Week Gets Underway
You better believe the paparazzi are ready and waiting for the masses of beautiful people making their way to the Big Apple this weekend. With the NYC Fashion Week kicking off, it’s sure to be a sight to behold.
Over at the Nicole Miller show, stars like Natasha Henstridge (in a classic black ensemble) and Cheryl Hines (wearing a champagne satin cleavage-bearing dress) were spotted hanging out and enjoying the fabulous clothes.
Meanwhile, Kimora Lee Simmons’ Baby Phat fashion show beckoned the likes of Joss Stone, Christina Milian, Tyra Banks, and Victoria Silvstedt.
Baby Phat’s new collection includes cropped jackets worn with tiny shorts and shiny leggings, three-piece suits, low-rise knickers, and midriff-bearing tops galore.

Stars Show Up For Mandela In Monaco
In a star studded event, Nelson Mandela was recently honored at a high profile charity ball held in his name in Monaco. Mandela was personally welcomed by Price Albert, who gave a speech praising the man affectionately known as Madiba for his tireless fight against poverty, AIDS and crime.
Joining Prince Albert in honoring Mandela were celebrities from across the globe, with a quick snapshot including: Bono from U2, supermodels Naomi Campbell, Petra Nemcova, and Victoria Silvstedt, and US actor Morgan Freeman.
By including items for auction such as the jersey Carl Lewis wore when winning one of his nine Olympic gold medals, football boots worn during last year’s World Cup, and a piece of rock from Robben Island - where Mandela was imprisoned by the apartheid government of South Africa for 18 years – the event organizers were able to use history to drive home the reality of the obstacles that Mandela overcame. The organizations that benefited from the event include the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.
This event in Monaco follows the recent unveiling in London of a larger-than-life statue of the great humanitarian sitting opposite the Houses of Parliament.

Supermodel Victoria Silvstedt recently took to the beaches of St Tropez, enjoying some fun in the sun with a group of pals.
The Swedish hottie was quite the sight to be seen, as the crowd of beachgoers ogled as she walked the beach and played in the water.
Hollywood.com seems to think that the voyage to the celebrity-infused Riviera hotspot is an attempt to secure a wealthy husband, writing, “If you’re a millionaire and would like to become the ultimate sugar daddy, Victoria is your girl! Just make sure you leave your credit cards on the table so she can go shopping right after and you’re all set!”
While husband shopping may have been on the agenda, for some reason we don’t see Ms Silvstedt being all that desperate to land a man.

There’s nothing like enjoying a romantic night out and having your ex come in an ruin everything. That’s what happened to Kid Rock this past week. He was dining with his hottie May Andersen and Brit singer James Blunt and Victoria Silvstedt when Pam Anderson walked in.
The celebrity dinner was taking place at Baoli during the Cannes Film Festival. When Pamela walked in, Kid walked out. “All of a sudden,” says a witness, “Kid is like, ‘Let’s go, let’s go!’ He grabs May and pulls her out, and they leave right away. Kid Rock freaks out, and I’ve never seen him like that in my life. He left James Blunt there!”
To make matters worse, model Marcus Schenkenberg, another Pamela Anderson ex, ratted Rock out. “He told her Kid Rock was in the building, and she got upset. Marcus said, ‘Yeah, and I think he’s going to leave because you’re here.’ Then she got on her BlackBerry and started texting somebody — she was so mad that he would leave to avoid her.”
Seems like Kid’s not over his ex-wife. But there was plenty of partying after dinner to help him forget his troubles. He reconnected with James Blunt at an after party. There were drinks and strippers, both business as usual for Rock.
The Cannes Film Festival runs for the rest of this week, into the weekend. We’ll have all the drama and dirt as celebrities mix and mingle.
