Vanessa Hudgens’ Day in the Big Apple
Vanessa Hudgens’ Day in the Big Apple
It’s been a big week for Vanessa Hudgens. She arrived in New York City Monday in preparation for the release of her new album Identified and ever since she’s been living it up in the big city.
Yesterday, the High School Musical hottie made an appearance on MTV’s TRL before enjoying a Big Apple shopping spree at the celebrity-popular Intermix boutique.
And Miss Hudgens seemed to take after Nicole Richie with her hippie-style wardrobe, including a black-with-multicolor pattern spaghetti strap top, vintage-looking jeans, skinny headband, and a pair of strappy gladiator sandals.
Following her retail therapy session, Vanessa was spotted grabbing some dinner at the trendy Waverly Inn, along with socialite/actress Paz de la Huerta.

With her hectic schedule, this girl must be toting some Red Bull around with her! Vanessa Hudgens tended to her promotional duties this morning (July 2) with an appearance on “Good Morning America” followed by a stop at “Live with Regis and Kelly.”
And the “High School Musical” hottie looked as cute as ever in a wispy white and blue shirt teamed with a pair of designer jeans and strappy heeled sandals.
Vanessa has been going non-stop since she arrived at JFK International Airport earlier this week. And with the release of her new album Identified, it’s no wonder.
Of the new disc, Vanessa tells: “Identified is a lot of fun. It’s my second album. It’s just me identifying myself. I’ve also been into things that are a little different–a jazzier feel. I wanted to interpret that into my album. It’s a different part of me that no one’s ever heard before.”
Talking about her upcoming tour, the HSM cutie explains: “In August, I’m gonna go on a state fair tour, which I’m really excited about. I’m just gonna be eating cotton candy all morning! [And] I’m actually going to be doing some show with (High School Musical co-star) Corbin Bleu, so I’m just thrilled to do it.”
Meanwhile, yesterday she paid a visit to MTV Studios in Times Square for an appearance on Total Request Live, followed by a high-profile dinner out at the Waverly Inn.

Maintaining a bicoastal celebrity status isn’t easy, but then again when you’re as dedicated to self-promotion as Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, it’s all part of the game.
The peroxide princess was spotted grabbing some cash from an ATM yesterday (she withdrew $60) as the paparazzi swarmed around her. Not to worry, though…she was looking fine in a white jacket with a pair of designer jeans and heels.
Miss Montag also stopped by the Ed Sullivan Theatre for an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman. And afterwards, this girl was hungry.
But never fear- Spencer, sporting a gallant dark pinstripe suit with a bold red tie, treated his future wife to a romantic dinner out at the exclusive Waverly Inn.

Wednesday night, Donna Karan New York hosted a Midtown Manhattan bash to celebrate the release of their new fragrance “DKNY Delicious Night.” And Ali Larter and Rashida Jones were among the Hollywood A-listers glamming it up.
With a glass of champagne in hand, the Heroes hottie gushed about her love of the Big Apple. “I’m so excited to be here in the city. I’m here with my girlfriends, and we’re going to have an amazing night. We’re going to have a great dinner at the Waverly (Inn) and drink champagne until dawn.”
When asked about her ideal NYC adventure, she replied, “The exact one I’m describing. That’s what we do. It’s not about dancing in nightclubs. It’s about having a great bottle of wine and great conversation. It’s a sexy city, and I’m excited to be here.”
Of her favorite activity in which to partake, Rashida Jones (currently working on both the Office and Unhitched) said, “Just walk around and make decisions as I’m walking of what to do. You can’t do that in L.A. People stare at you like you’re crazy. People don’t really walk. You sit on your (bottom) in the car all day long. It’s insane.”
Both Larter and Jones may be sitting on their collective bottom for awhile, along with the rest of those affected by the writer’s strike in the entertainment industry.
Ali told press, “It’s a very precarious time in Los Angeles. We can only shoot for a couple more days. It’s affected everyone, from our writers to our production assistants to craft service. You have to stand up for what you believe in, but the repercussions are — it’s just a difficult time for everyone.”
And Jones, whose new show doesn’t start filming until 2008, said that it’s tragic, even though it hasn’t put her out yet. “It’s affected so many of my friends. It’s only a couple of days in, and it’s a bummer. These people work so hard, and they’re the glue of the industry. They’re the reason the industry ticks, and to not give them the modicum of respect they deserve — it bums me out. I hope everyone comes to their senses.”
