Britney Spears and K-Fed: Headed Back to Court

Britney Spears and K-Fed: Headed Back to Court

With all of the celebrity restaurant appearances these days, you gotta wonder - does anyone cook anymore?  Last night, Britney Spears was spotted out to dinner at Sur restaurant in West Hollywood.

The “Gimme More” songstress looked flirty in a black-with-embroidered-designs minidress teamed with a pair of massive platform heels and an oversized black handbag.

Meanwhile, her ex-hubby Kevin Federline was spotted on the opposite coast, doing a little shopping with some guy pals in Miami, Florida.  He looked cool and relaxed in a baggy grey t-shirt along with a pair of shorts and white sneakers.

As far as their ongoing custody case, it seems Brit and Kevin are indeed headed back to court this August.  A recent meeting with a mediator reportedly wasn’t enough to settle things.

K-Fed’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told press, “The mediation didn’t result in an agreement that would avoid the trial set in August … The mood was comfortable, positive and it was a mood that was consistent with opening at least a great dialogue, which is necessary.”

While most celebrities were basking on the beach or attending various parties with family and friends, Audrina Patridge spent her Fourth of July weekend shopping and jet-setting.

The Hills hottie was spotted on Saturday stopping into a West Hollywood Rite Aid store (a former favorite of Britney Spears’).  She emerged with a Starbucks bottled Vanilla Frappuccino beverage as she smiled for the paparazzi.

And Miss Patridge looked way hot in a very form-fitting blue scoopneck short dress with a red leather handbag and her usual aviator sunglasses.

After changing into a more loose-fitting black dress, Audrina was spotted with a gal pal at LAX International Airport making her way through the terminal as she prepared to depart.

According to FOX Pop Tarts’ Hollie McKay, Patridge was also spotted over the weekend at the Project Beach House inaugural all day/night party canoodling with her friend with benefits Bobby Campo.

Up and about following a night of clubbing the previous evening, Lauren Conrad looked city chic as she headed over to Barneys of New York in Beverly Hills on Thursday (July 3).

The Hills hottie stopped in for a bit of shopping to kick-start the holiday weekend, wearing a colorful tanktop/pant combo with matching shades, a big ring with her name on it and a Chanel bag in tow.

As previously reported by , LC’s shopping trip comes after a night of fun alongside her reality co-star/roomie Lauren Bosworth and a few of their fellow gal pals - with the group taking in the West Hollywood club scene.

The girls, who ran into hotel heiress turned handbag designer Nicky Hilton at both stops, first were spotted at the celebrity-popular Crown Bar before relocating to CocoDeVille to finish off the evening.

Steve-O, Bodyguard Sued for Boutique Bopping

Stephen "Steve-O" Glover

Maybe working for Steve-O has made his bodyguard forget that most people don’t enjoy the occasional blow to the head.

A former security guard has sued the Jackass daredevil and his muscle, Reggie Pace, for assault and battery, claiming Pace punched him when he refused to let their entourage into a West Hollywood boutique last summer.

“It’s all about getting justice,” Joseph Barrett, attorney for the plaintiff, Roland Cano, said in a statement Thursday. “Steve-O may believe he is someone special who can make his own rules, but he will learn that the same rules apply to him. He can’t hid behind his friend in this fight.”

According to his lawsuit, which was filed Tuesday, Roland Cano was hired to work the door at Kitson during an Aug. 16 party for the launch of Paris Hilton’s new clothing line for the chi-chi shopping spot.

Cano recalls denying Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, entry to the boutique when he tried to get in with his pals and a camera crew filming the stuntmeister’s USA reality show Dr. Steve-O. (USA Networks and parent company NBC Universal have also been named as defendants.)

Steve-O then said he was going to “go over everyone’s head here in a moment” and subsequently pushed through the door along with Pace, who measures in at 6-feet, nine-inches, the plaintiff alleges, per documents obtained by TMZ.com.

When Cano followed them into the store and tried to escort Steve-O back outside, Pace “leaned into plaintiff and without provocation violently punched [his] face and head repeatedly.”

Steve-O’s camp hasn’t commented on the suit but, according to Cano’s complaint, he said at the time: “I just had my dude rip that security guard’s face…It was awesome…I just needed to see my security guard rough everyone the f–k up.”

People will do anything to be on TV today, eh?

In addition to assault and battery, Cano is also claiming negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and negligent hiring and retention. He’s seeking unspecified damages and attorney’s fees.
