Want to know more about the cast of Gossip Girl?
Vanity Fair has done a piece on Gossip Girl profiling the likes and dislikes of its young Hollywood starlets. Amanda Seyfried, who’s starring in the upcoming film Mamma Mia! with Meryl Streep, wants to work with Michael Caine on day. When asked whether she drove a hybrid or an Escalade, she said, “Audi. Maybe I should drive a hybrid. I do have a shirt that says, ’Go Green.’ ” Well, that helps, I guess.
Blake Lively, who got her start playing Bridget in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, got the car question too: “Hybrid. Even if anybody picked the Escalade they wouldn’t say it, ’cause it’d be, like, bombed.”
VH1.com pointed out that in the article Gossip Girl ripped off a famous Friends photo. The pictures features each cast in evening gowns and tuxes while lugging champagne. Technically, Vanity Fair ripped off Friends. I feel indignant at any comparison, intentional or not, made between Friends (*cue choir of angels*) and Gossip Girl. She’s one of the hottest women in young Hollywood, and last night Kristin Cavallari was looking scorching hot on the MuchMusic Video Awards red carpet.
The “Laguna Beach” babe was turning heads left and right in a shiny graphite-colored strapless dress with a pair of super-high peep-toe heels and her curly blonde locks.
The Chum/City Building in Toronto Canada was chock full of celebrity presence like Rihanna ( who won two awards ) and the newly-reunited New Kids on the Block, who performed a medley of their hits from the past.
As for Cavallari, we’ll be seeing quite a bit more of her in the months to come, as she has three movies (Green Flash, Spring Breakdown, and Wild Cherry) set to release later this year, as well as in early 2009.

As a follow-up to the story earlier today, Mischa Barton was released from police custody this morning at approximately 10am to her parents. As she exited the police station, the OC actress didn’t acknowledge the paparazzi. Mommy and Daddy Barton drove her home in their Mercedes-Benz.
And this story is already blowing up, with speculation about whether or not Mischa is falling into the party-girl-jello-mold set forth by young Hollywood celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton.
However, with all of the mistakes of her Tinseltown peers, you gotta wonder why Barton didn’t simply hire a driver to cart her around. It’s not like she doesn’t have the money!
The answer to that question, according to Dr. Harris Stratyner (an addition specialist) is simple. “People with active addiction don’t think logically. There’s always a certain element of self-sabotage. Why would somebody risk their career? It’s a form of self sabotage.”
Stratyner also says that Barton’s career field could possibly heighten the severity of her genetically-predisposed tendency toward addiction. “We see a higher incidence of abuse among people who are in the limelight because they’re under tremendous pressure. There’s a tendency to self medicate.”
His recommendation for treatment? “She needs a loved one to take control and get some help. We can’t allow people to hit rock bottom. We used to think people hit bottom … but sometimes you have to raise a person’s bottom. Their bottom could be death.”

The Paramount Studios Lot in Los Angeles, California was buzzing with A-list celebrities last night for the premiere of the new suspense flick Cloverfield. And young Hollywood showed up in droves.
The ladies from MTV’s The Hills were in the house for the big movie event. And while they didn’t show each other any love, both Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag showed up. Of course, Heidi had Spencer on her arm, and LC was with her gal pal Audrina Patridge.
And pop music’s favorite couple Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz made an appearance, looking stunning and in love. Pete opted for an all-black ensemble, complete with fedora, while Ashlee contributed a big of color with her rosy overcoat.
Shopahaulic Lindsay Lohan kept it sexy with a classic little black dress and flowing blonde tresses- a welcome departure from the black wig she was sporting earlier this week.
And Ashley Tisdale brought her trademark smile to the red carpet festivities. And it’s no wonder she’s smiling so big. She just signed with Disney to do High School Musical 3: Senior Year, and that means some big bucks!
